Verónica Casado Vicente is a family doctor with many years of experience as a teacher, researcher, author of specialized texts, and international collaborator. In 2017 she was named the best family doctor in Europe, and in 2018 best doctor in the Spanish-speaking world––this was the first time a family doctor was awarded this honor in two world regions. In October of 2018, she received the Wonca Five Stars, a bi-yearly award recognizing a single family doctor for his or her work in working with a singular vision while being capable of making decisions, of working in a group, and attending to the community as a whole.
