Josefina Carabias

Josefina Carabias (1908-1980) was a lawyer, journalist and writer, who practiced journalism during the Second Republic, the Franco era and the Transition. She is considered the first woman journalist in Spain to work in a newsroom in positions similar to those of any of her male colleagues and in 1955 she became the first correspondent in the United States for three newspapers.
