Santi Vila (Granollers, Barcelona, 1973) has a Phd in Contemporary and Political History and he is a member of the Partit Demòcrata Europeu Català (PDeCAT). He has been deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia, Mayor of Figueres, Minister of Territory and Sustainability, Minister of Culture, and Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Generalitat. A supporter of the call for elections in Catalonia after the referendum of October 1, 2017, he resigned on the 26th of the same month, hours before the Parlament proclaimed the independence.
