Roberto Fernández Díaz (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, 1954) graduated with a doctorate in Modern History from the University of Barcelona with a dissertation on the Catalan bourgeoisie of the XVIII century. Since then, he has continued his researches into XVIII century Catalonia and Spain in a number of academic articles and books.
