Meirav Kampeas-Riess (Israel, 1977). After serving two years in the Israeli army, she studied at the University of Haifa to become a special education teacher. In 2001 she arrived in Madrid where she teaches Hebrew to children. She has always been attracted to her grandmother Edith’s life and admired her ability to survive the horror of the Holocaust and to build her home and family with strength and optimism. That’s why she decided to tell her story.
