María Tena (Madrid, 1953) has a degree in Literature and Philosophy specializing in Hispanic Literature and a second in Law. She wrote her thesis on Spanish Poetry Magazines from 1900 to 1936. She has been the director of the Centro del Libro y la Lectura and also the Centro de las Letras Españolas. She often contributes to literary magazines, on paper and on the internet, and is a member of the editorial committee of the magazine Galerna, published by Montclair State University in New York.
