Miquel Sànchis and Carlos Roberto have several things in common: both were born in 1981, they are from the same neighborhood of Gandía (Valencia) and their two great passions are football and rock and roll. Another aspect they share is a negative view of football today, in which marketing and commercialism are as important (or more) than whether or not the ball enters the goal. That’s why they wrote I Hate Modern Football, where they unleash their antipathy for the drift in football that has taken hold today, and remember with joy those times of unshaven footballers and trainers in tracksuits, hoping that the sport of values and feelings might one day return.
