Carlos García Gual

Carlos García Gual is Emeritus Professor of Greek Philosophy at the UCM, a specialist in classical antiquity, mythology, philosophy, and literature. He has translated more than twenty classical works and published more than forty books, including The Sect of the Dog, The Death of the Heroes, Epicurus, and The Dictionary of Myths. A literary critic, he publishes essays in numerous print media, including El País, Revista de Occidente, and Claves de la razón práctica. He has twice won the National Translation Prize and is a member of the Royal Spanish Academy.
